About Civil Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2012 with an annual intake of 60 undergraduate students. The department provides extensive lab facilities in the areas of Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulics, Remote Sensing, Engineering Geology and Surveying. With a qualified & experienced faculty body, the students will be exposed to research in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental / Wastewater Engineering, Concrete Technology, Transportation Engineering, Strength of materials and Estimation and Surveying work with its well-equipped laboratories. Our Civil engineering Students Association (TRACE) enables students to exhibit their scholastic and non-scholastic achievements via seminars, workshops and student led conferences.

All the required laboratories have been established with state-of-the-art technology to impart up-to-date, advance knowledge to our students so that they are well equipped with the skills required to give consistent and best quality performance in their endeavour. We aim to establish the department as one of the prime departments in the faculty of engineering at JNTUK.
